MX Municipal Treatment
Wastewater from Municipal Treatment Plants
Municipal wastewater contains a mixture of organic matter, nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorus), microplastics, chemicals, and pathogenic microorganisms. The quantity and quality of wastewater are also influenced by weather variations, including heavy rainfall, snowmelt, and periods of drought.
The MX Superclean process has proven to be robust and stable in handling large variations in wastewater. In many cases, the MX process can be implemented as an upgrade and solution that enhances the treatment efficiency of existing treatment plants. This can also result in increased capacity for a treatment plant, with a low investment.

Wastewater from the sand trap in a municipal treatment plant is shown on the left side of the image. On the right, water treated using the MX process is displayed, which can also eliminate/reduce the need for and costs associated with biological treatment.
